Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all Federal grant-making agencies. Grants.gov is THE single access point for over 900 grant programs offered by the 26 Federal grant-making agencies.

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance
The online Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance gives you access to a database of all Federal programs available to State and local governments (including the District of Columbia); federally -recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals. After you find the program you want, contact the office that administers the program and find out how to apply.

SAMHSA Grant Information
US agency making grants for mental health, alcohol, substance abuse treatment and prevention. These are challenging projects, but the effort to prepare for a SAMHSA submission often benefits the other fundraising activities your organization pursues.

Ohio's Faith-Based and Community Initiative
The Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives has been charged with three main tasks:

  • Make it easier for faith-based and community organizations to compete for public funding
  • Encourage partnerships among and between public agencies, faith-based organizations, and community-based organizations who share a common mission
  • Measure the impact of these partnerships to reduce the suffering of citizens in need
